Fractal Audio Axe-Fx 3/FM9 – FAKE VIOLIN preset
This preset takes your guitar and makes it sing and sound like a violin, viola or even a cello!
Idea to this preset came from watching Guthrie Govan’s live gig. He was playing a preset that sounded just like dirty violin. I wanted to make my own IR’s to match that sound – so here it is! Planning on playing something sustained and beautiful? This presets got it. Shredding over I Will Survive’s interlude? This preset got you covered.
Note: This preset requires the v12.0 firmware.
First three scenes bowed instrument sounds on their own. The next three scenes have the amp sound and IR’s combined. Last two are a clean Tweed amp and a hi gain Dumble amp – to have easy access to normal comping tones! This guitar-to-violin preset also includes 5 per preset overrides:
1. Big Reverb (Reverb-block)
2. Tape Stop (Delay-block)
3. Boost (Enhancer-block)
4. Pitch
5. Selecting between Pitch-blocks octaver and de-tune
