Description
Fractal Audio Axe-Fx 3/FM9 – MiCROLOOPS preset.
Can you do glitching effects on the FM9 and Axe-Fx 3? You sure can! Can you do microlooping as well? Yes!
This preset started off with me fan-boying over Chase Bliss Mood and Montreal Assembly Count to 5 pedals. I thought ”could I pull those off on the FM9”? After trying out a bunch of options, the hold function on the Delay-blocks seemed to be the most authentic way of doing this. We have two Microloopers, Pitch Delay, Bounce Delay and two separate (before and after the delay) Glitch-effects. Along the first Glitch-preset I find this to be the most inspiring of all of my presets! Scenes functions as amp channels 1 thru 4. Per Presets under the Effects tab is where the Microlooping magic happens.
Couple of ways I’ve found myself using this preset: firstly as an ambient texture maker. Loop two separate microloops and engage the Pitch Delay and the Bounce Delay for eternal bliss-type tones! Secondly as a staccato riff looper. With the second microloop the amount of information it grabs is faster than the first one. Use it with Bounce Delay to go crazy! Thirdly you can make immensive pad-like textures when combining the two Microloops. Who knew listening to yourself is so fun!
Scenes are:
Clean
Overdriven

Forget about Ed Sheeran and get your futuristic looping tones on!
